The Humanitarian Initiatives Forum kicked off in Dubai, showcasing 23 Arab women-led initiatives as part of the “Queen of Social Responsibility” program, produced by the Arabian Media Network in cooperation with the Arab Women Campaign.
The opening ceremony included a recognition segment, where Dr. Rehab Zein El Din, Ambassador of Arab Women, honored Dirar Belhoul Al Falasi, CEO of Watani Al Emarat Foundation, Eng. Fathi Jaber Affana, Ambassador of the Arab Family Organization, and Salwa Al Rahma, founder of the “Ambassadors of Positivity” initiative. The forum also honored Hassan Al Raisi, Head of Photography at the Dubai office, representing Al Ittihad newspaper, in addition to recognizing the program participants.
The forum activities began with the “Humanitarian Initiative Leaders” photo exhibition, attended by Sheikh Abdulaziz Al Mualla, H.E. Dr. Fawzi Al Ghweil, Director of the Technical Secretariat of the Council of Arab Information Ministers, Dirar Belhoul Al Falasi, Dr. Mustafa Salameh, Secretary-General of the Arab Producers Union and head of the Queen program, and Dr. Rehab Zein El Din.
The exhibition featured 33 portrait artworks by artist Khaled Jalal, showcasing leaders of humanitarian initiatives from across the Arab world, including participants in the “Queen of Social Responsibility” program.
At the start of the press conference, Dr. Rehab Zein El Din highlighted the role of the campaign since its launch at the headquarters of the League of Arab States in 2008, under the patronage of former Secretary-General Amr Moussa. She explained that the campaign aims to present media that improves the image of women, supports their empowerment in society, and highlights them as equal partners with men in progress and development.
