Our TV Programs

As part of a broader vision to modernize Arab media and strengthen its role as a tool for awareness and influence, a number of strategic projects have been launched. These aim to unify efforts, improve content quality, and strengthen Arab media independence.

Model Woman Medal

The “Model Woman Medal” was launched by the Arabian Media Network in 2011, in cooperation with the Arab Women Campaign. It includes an annual award presented to an outstanding woman who has contributed to supporting and

empowering Arab women. Women from several Arab countries have been honored, including the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Lebanon, Jordan, Egypt, Iraq, and Syria.
The first Arab woman to receive this medal was H.H. Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak, in recognition of her efforts in supporting and advancing the role of women in the United Arab Emirates. A formal ceremony was held in Abu Dhabi to mark the occasion.

Modhesh – The Professor of Surprises

A children’s animated TV program produced by the network in 2001 for Dubai TV. It was broadcast live for around 70 episodes and is considered the first of its kind, an animated show aired live that interacted directly with young viewers.

Children could participate through phone calls, join live competitions, and win prizes.
The character “Modhesh” later became a well-known symbol in Dubai and a key part of the Dubai Summer Surprises festival over the years.

Let’s Challenge Corona

“Let’s Challenge Corona” is a TV program that was launched as part of the Arab Joint Broadcasting campaign during Ramadan 2020. The campaign was organized by the Arabian Media Network and the Arab Women Campaign,

in cooperation with the Arab Satellite Broadcasting Authority and under the supervision of the Technical Secretariat of the Council of Arab Information Ministers at the League of Arab States. In its first phase, the campaign introduced the program “Let’s Challenge Corona,” which was broadcast over a period of 6 months, with the participation of 32 Arab TV channels from 14 countries. The program achieved great success as a joint Arab media initiative to address the COVID-19 pandemic and its impact on society and the economy during the global lockdown.
The content of the program focused on various reports, humanitarian initiatives, and positive stories from across the Arab world and beyond, aiming to boost morale and spread hope and optimism among people.
Notable guests featured on the program included:
1. H.E. Ahmed Aboul Gheit – Secretary-General of the League of Arab States
2. H.M. King Abdullah II bin Al Hussein – King of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan

Let’s Challenge Corona

It brings together talented young people in TV and media fields such as filming, editing, directing, production, and presenting, to train them and make use of their creativity in producing media projects that support women.

1. Support young Arab talents and involve them in women-focused media projects
2. Encourage TV and media arts among Arab youth
3. Motivate young people to compete and develop their skills in media and women-related programs
4. Create meaningful cultural dialogue among Arab youth
5. Train aspiring creatives who haven’t had practical opportunities before
6. Build a strong base of young talents to support the media and creative industry
7. Provide job opportunities for winning participants
8. Highlight youth ideas in media, especially those related to women, and support them
Main topics covered in the program:

2. Combating domestic violence
3. Women and motherhood
4. Women’s rights and issues
5. Youth and teenage issues
6. Cultural sensitivities in dealing with women’s topics

Digital Government Program

The “Digital Government” program is an extension of the Smart Government program, launched in a new format in 2018 as the UAE moved toward full digital transformation of government services, in line with the latest global technology trends.

The program focused on interactive digital platforms that provide government services 24/7 without interruption.
The program continued to be produced and aired on UAE channels (Emirates TV, Al Dhafra TV, Baynounah TV, and Fujairah TV) until 2020.

CNBC Jordan Program

Initiated by the Arabian Media Network, the idea of this TV program was created to highlight the economic landscape, markets, and investment opportunities in Jordan, with the aim of boosting economic activity and attracting investment to the country.

The program was launched through CNBC Arabia, under the sponsorship of Harmony Investment Group, one of the leading investment groups in Jordan.
The official launch was announced during a special conference and ceremony held in Amman, attended by high-level Jordanian and Arab officials, as well as media and economic representatives.

Smart Government

The “Smart Government” program started in June 2013, when the Arabian Media Network launched the first initiative of its kind under the title “I’m Connected – Smart Government Initiative,” in cooperation with the Telecommunications Regulatory Authority in the UAE.

The initiative was announced during GITEX Technology Week through a press conference held at the Authority’s platform, attended by: H.E. Mohammed Nasser Al Ghanim, Director General of the Authority, and media figure Mustafa Salameh, CEO of the Arabian Media Network. The initiative was welcomed as an important step in supporting the UAE’s transition to smart government.
Following this, the “Smart Government” program was launched as a weekly TV show produced by the network and broadcast across several UAE channels, including:

  3. Emirates TV
  4. Sama Dubai
  5. Sharjah TV
  6. Fujairah TV
  7. Ras Al Khaimah TV

The program continued until 2018, achieving high viewership over the years. It featured participation from many local and federal UAE entities and included exclusive interviews with ministers, decision-makers, and leaders of major government institutions.

Smart Government

The “Smart Government” program started in June 2013, when the Arabian Media Network launched the first initiative of its kind under the title “I’m Connected – Smart Government Initiative,”

“The Queen” is a TV program focused on social responsibility. It was officially launched during the Cairo Festival for Media and Arts in 2014 as the first Arab TV format searching for a “Queen” of creativity and excellence, broadcast across more than 70 Arab media organizations.

The first season aired on December 1, 2015, with around 25,000 applicants from 18 Arab countries. After several selection stages, only 40 contestants were chosen, each presenting a humanitarian initiative aimed at serving their community.
The program concluded with a live finale broadcast on 30 TV channels and 16 FM radio stations across the Arab world, where the winner was crowned as the “Queen of Social Responsibility,” along with the first and second runners-up.
The program received several awards, including Best TV Program in 2016 at the International Social Responsibility Day, and the Libya Creativity Award in 2016.
The competition is divided into three main stages:
1. Entry to the “Kingdom”
2. Entry to the Royal Palace
3. The Royal Chair stage, where the winner and the runners-up are selected

The program aims to select top young female influencers and content creators from across the Arab world, bringing them into a competition that engages audiences across the region. Participants are evaluated based on clear criteria, under the supervision of specialized judging panels that focus on meaningful, high-quality content that supports social and cultural development.
The program is a media competition that includes a TV show, radio coverage, social media campaigns, and press coverage. It concludes with a final ceremony where the winners are crowned.
A special TV format was developed and officially registered for this program, making it the first show to combine social media platforms with television broadcasting in one unified experience.

The program was broadcast on more than 70 Arab TV channels and entered the Guinness World Records in April 2010 as the largest joint broadcast in the world for a TV program.
Around 500,000 women applied to participate in the program. The Arab Women Campaign also organized large events to honor model women, bringing together prominent figures from different countries, including the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Jordan, and Lebanon.
Through the program, many distinguished female media figures were honored, and dozens of pioneering Arab women were highlighted.
