Our Strategic Projects

As part of a broader vision to modernize Arab media and strengthen its role as a tool for awareness and influence, several strategic projects have been launched. These projects aim to unify efforts, improve content quality, and enhance Arab media independence.

Zayed Centenary Forum – The Wise Man of the Arabs

This forum was the first of its kind to be held at the headquarters of the League of Arab States, honoring a prominent Arab leader, the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, known as the “Wise Man of the Arabs” for his approach, vision, and his humanitarian and leadership initiatives.
The forum included a large and diverse program of events that reflected the high status of the “Wise Man of the Arabs” among people and leaders in the region and around the world.
The forum was scheduled to open on December 22, 2020, at the main hall of the League of Arab States in Cairo, with representatives from member states in attendance and wide media coverage from Egyptian, Emirati, and Arab media organizations.
The activities were set to continue over the following two days at Conrad Cairo Hotel under the patronage of the Egyptian Prime Minister. The program also included the opening of the “Story of a Nation” exhibition – Zayed, the Wise Man of the Arabs, organized by Watani Al Emarat Foundation, featuring a special section from the Arab League archives with rare photos being shown for the first time, highlighting key moments from the life of the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan.

Arab Media Education

“Arab Media Education” is an initiative focused on creating, developing, and applying educational programs that promote media awareness among students in public and private schools across the Arab world. It comes in line with global development trends that highlight the importance of media education.

This is especially important given the strong influence of traditional media, modern media, and social media on society, as well as the need to raise awareness about how individuals can express themselves, share their ideas, and improve their communication skills.
The initiative is officially licensed and registered as one of the projects of the Arabian Media Network, with intellectual property rights recognized in the Arab region and internationally.

Arabic Archive Project

The “Arab Archive” is a strategic media and development project. Its idea was created by the Arabian Media Network in 2019, and the team worked for several years to develop the concept and plan its implementation.

In 2023, the network successfully signed a memorandum of understanding with the General Secretariat of the League of Arab States to support this project. The project focuses on documenting and digitizing the media archive of the League of Arab States as a first phase.
It will then expand to work with Arab media organizations and institutions to digitize their archives as well, using high-quality digital preservation methods and storing them on a specialized, advanced platform. The goal is to preserve this content and make it accessible to institutions and individuals online.

Artificial Intelligence Lab

As part of its ongoing approach and in line with the recommendations made by the Arabian Media Network during the Smart Government Exhibition and Conference in Dubai in 2015, the network has been working over the past few years,

especially with the rise and accessibility of AI technologies, to develop those recommendations further. This led to the creation of the “Artificial Intelligence Lab” project.
The project aims to be a creative and institutional hub that brings together talented young innovators with skills and creative ideas in AI, and directs their energy toward serving Arab media in all its fields, especially meaningful and purposeful media, which the network has supported for over 25 years.
In this context, the play “Zayed’s Ambition Reaches Space” reflects the vision, journey, and achievements of the founding father of the UAE, the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, and aligns with the continued progress and leadership under H.H. Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE.
The play has been officially approved by the National Media Council, in cooperation with the Ministry of Culture and Youth and the Ministry of Education. It is presented in cultural theaters across the UAE using a modern and engaging theatrical style, performed in a creative and entertaining way for students, young audiences, and parents.
Through its content, the play aims to preserve and promote Emirati values, heritage, and traditions among younger generations. It also encourages unity behind leadership to achieve ambitions, highlights key historical milestones of the UAE, and addresses educational topics such as bullying in schools through a dramatic theatrical approach.
