Deira TV Channel
With its authentic Arab spirit, Deira TV built a strong reputation since its launch in 2004, becoming one of the leading Arab television channels and a familiar presence in every home.
It was founded in Dubai Media City by media professional Mustafa Salameh, carrying a name that remains deeply rooted in Arab media memory, “Deira TV.”
The channel combined the authenticity of its name with content that connected closely with people’s language, memories, and heritage, making it stand out in the Arab satellite scene as something truly unique.
Deira entered homes and quickly became a regular guest in Arab living rooms, bringing families together, where parents and children shared the same viewing experience.
It offered a rich mix of content, including Syrian and Gulf dramas, light comedy, Bedouin series, as well as cultural and entertainment programs, allowing viewers to see their own lives, environment, and stories reflected on screen.
The channel was ranked among the most-watched Arab channels at the time, according to Ipsos reports, and continued to grow its presence as a simple, people-focused channel with a meaningful message, truly a channel for the whole family.
It also focused on heritage, cultural, and social programs that highlighted Arab and Gulf identity, promoting moderation and authentic values, and becoming part of the memory of a generation raised on its programs and themes.
Among its daily live programs, shows like “Qahwat Al Deira,” “Masa Mesa,” and “Ru’a wa Ahlam” were aired.
Although it stopped broadcasting in 2018, its impact, name, and memory still live on in the hearts of a generation that grew attached to it.
