“Zayed… A Document of Covenant and Promise”
In cooperation with the Latifa bint Mohammed Award for Childhood Creativity in 2003, we implemented the first document of its kind under the title “The Creativity Document.” It is a document of pledge, loyalty, and renewal of commitment and promise to the first inspirer, the founding father, Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, may God rest his soul.
This document from its concept to its execution and completion was a unique event in every detail. The stages of design and implementation were carefully and professionally documented until the document reached its final approved form and design, befitting its importance and the status of Their Highnesses, patrons of creativity and creators.
Its text reads:
“In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful. We, the undersigned, patrons of the United Arab Emirates awards that support creators and talented individuals, raise to the august presence of the father, His Highness Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, President of the State, may God protect and preserve him, the primary patron of creators, this document of thanks, appreciation, and gratitude for His Highness’s unlimited role in adopting and supporting creators. We pledge to His Highness to implement his noble directives and follow in his footsteps until our dreams are realized and the nation achieves its goals… Long live humanity, long live the leader, long live the nation.”
The document was signed by Sheikh Maktoum bin Rashid Al Maktoum (may he rest in peace) on behalf of the Dubai International Holy Qur’an Award; by Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan (may he rest in peace) on behalf of the Khalifa bin Zayed Award for Teachers; and by His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Rashid Al Maktoum (may he rest in peace) on behalf of the Hamdan bin Rashid Award for Distinguished Academic Performance.
It was also signed by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum on behalf of the Mohammed bin Rashid Award for Arab Management; by His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi on behalf of the Sharjah Award for Intellectual Creativity; and by His Highness Sheikh Humaid bin Rashid Al Nuaimi on behalf of the Rashid bin Humaid Award for Culture and Science.
Additionally, it was signed by Her Highness Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak on behalf of the Fatima bint Mubarak Award for the Ideal Family, and by Her Highness Sheikha Latifa bint Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, patron of the Latifa bint Mohammed Award for Childhood Creativity.
