Our Arabian Events

As part of a broader vision to modernize Arab media and strengthen its role as a tool for awareness and influence, a number of strategic projects have been launched. These aim to unify efforts, improve content quality, and strengthen Arab media independence.

“Thank You UAE” Ceremony

This ceremony was organized by the General Union of Arab Producers in cooperation with the Arabian Media Network on Wednesday, February 25, 2015, It aimed to honor a group of leading Emirati media organizations,

As well as a number of prominent figures in UAE media.
The ceremony was held at the Opera House of Misr University for Science and Technology in 6th of October City, with the presence of H.E. Dr. Gaber Asfour, Egypt’s Minister of Culture, representing the Prime Minister Eng. Ibrahim Mahlab, along with H.E. Dr. Meitha Al Shamsi, and a large number of top Egyptian stars and prominent Emirati media figures.
The idea behind the “Thank You UAE” ceremony was to honor Emirati media and media institutions in appreciation of the UAE’s supportive stance toward Egypt, reflecting the strong bond and brotherhood between the Egyptian and Emirati people.
It also recognized the major role of Emirati media in supporting Arab causes, its credibility in covering events, and the significant development of the media sector in the UAE and its growing influence locally, regionally, and globally.
Among the Emirati media organizations that were honored were Abu Dhabi Media Company, Dubai Media Incorporated, Sharjah Media Corporation, the National Media Council, twofour54 Abu Dhabi, Dubai Media City, and the Arab Radio Network.
A number of prominent Emirati media figures were also honored, including Dr. Ali Al Shaeebi, media figure Issa Al Mulla, and media figure Ali Al Shamsi.

“Thank You Saudi Arabia” Ceremony

In cooperation between the Arabian Media Network and the General Union of Arab Producers, the “Thank You Saudi Arabia” ceremony was held in mid-December 2015 under the patronage of the Egyptian Prime Minister

Eng. Sherif Ismail, and with support from Al Naqoor International Investment Group. The idea behind the ceremony was to recognize the supportive role of Saudi media toward Egypt, reflecting the strong brotherhood between the Egyptian and Saudi people. It also honored the major efforts of Saudi media in presenting an accurate picture of events across the Arab world, especially in Egypt.
The event also expressed appreciation for Saudi Arabia’s strong support for Egypt, especially after the June 30 Revolution, when the Kingdom, along with other Gulf countries, stood by Egypt politically, economically, and through media support during difficult times. This support also included standing with Egypt in its fight against terrorism and helping during economic challenges, particularly after the Russian plane incident that affected tourism in Sharm El Sheikh.
On the sidelines of the event, a number of artists and media professionals were honored for their outstanding contributions, including actress Dalia El Beheiry, actor Khaled Sarhan, producer Mostafa Abu Hagar, writer Amani Dargham, director Ahmed Nour, artist and director Mohsen Al Ali, and media personality Dina Abdullah.

Smart Government Exhibition and Conference

The “Smart Government Exhibition and Conference” was created and organized by the Arabian Media Network, in response to the vision of H.H. Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum in May 2013 to move toward smart government.

The event was a promotional exhibition that used different media platforms to showcase the services provided by federal and local government entities, with a focus on digital transformation in the UAE.
It aimed to support government institutions in shifting to smart government, highlight digital transformation projects, and raise public awareness about the importance of these services in saving time and improving daily life.
The exhibition was held at the Dubai World Trade Centre from June 8 to June 10, 2015, and was opened by H.H. Sheikh Mansoor bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, with wide participation from government entities and some private sector organizations.
He toured all the exhibition stands, accompanied by H.E. Helal Saeed Al Marri, Director General of Dubai’s Department of Tourism and Commerce Marketing and CEO of the Dubai World Trade Centre, along with a number of officials.
Halls 2, 3, and 4, where the Smart Government Exhibition and Conference took place, were equipped with visual media tools to give participating entities more opportunities to display awareness content and explain their applications, both inside and outside their booths, allowing them to reach a wider audience.
The event was also broadcast live on several major TV channels.

Arab Women Forum

On August 28, 2020, the Arabian Media Network, in partnership with the Arab Women Campaign, launched their new project, the “Arab Women Forum,” starting from the United Arab Emirates,

With plans to hold it annually in different Arab countries. The first edition of the forum was held at the same time as Emirati Women’s Day, in cooperation with Seeds for Development.
The forum aimed to highlight the leading role of Emirati women at both the Arab and international levels, and their contribution to the success and achievements of Arab women in various fields.
During the forum, H.H. Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak was honored for the second time with the exceptional “Model Woman Medal.” The forum shield was also awarded to a number of distinguished Emirati women in recognition of their role in supporting and empowering women.

Government Institutions Forum – Sustainability

The “Government Institutions Forum for Sustainable Development” was created by the Arabian Media Network. A press conference for the forum was organized in Amman, Jordan, at the Four Seasons Hotel in late January 2023,

In cooperation with the General Secretariat of the League of Arab States – Media and Communication Sector, and the Arab Satellite Broadcasting Authority. The idea of the forum came from the important role played by the League of Arab States in setting regional plans to support sustainable development and address the challenges facing it. The General Secretariat, through the League Council and specialized ministerial councils, has launched many initiatives, strategies, and decisions aligned with the Sustainable Development Goals 2030.
The Council of Arab Information Ministers, during its 52nd session held in Cairo, assigned the Arab Satellite Broadcasting Authority to organize the forum in Amman, in recognition of Jordan’s progress in achieving sustainable development goals, according to the World Governments Summit report 2022 in Dubai.

It presents real examples through laws, policies, and national initiatives that have strengthened the role of Emirati women and their contribution to the country’s development.
The forum also discusses topics related to women’s ability to succeed in government roles, their leadership in managing institutions, the opportunities available to them, and the challenges they may face, along with ways to overcome them through proper training and skill development. It also highlights women’s presence in international positions and their role within global organizations.
