The Arabian Media Network launched a national media campaign titled \u201cLet\u2019s Challenge Corona,\u201d in cooperation with the Arab Satellite Broadcasting Authority and the General Union of Arab Producers, and in coordination with the Technical Secretariat of the Council of Arab Information Ministers \/ Media and Communication Sector at the League of Arab States. This campaign reflects the importance of joint Arab media efforts during the exceptional situation the world faced due to the spread of COVID-19, and included the participation of more than 15 Arab satellite channels.
\nDr. Fawzi Al Ghweil, Director of the Technical Secretariat of the Council of Arab Information Ministers, confirmed that the League of Arab States closely followed the measures taken by member states to face the pandemic. He noted that the Secretary-General of the League had instructed all relevant departments to provide regular reports to ensure coordination and follow-up.
\nMohammed Al Adhaileh, President of the Arab Satellite Broadcasting Authority, stated that this leading campaign, implemented by the Arabian Media Network from its Dubai office, aims to support the media sector and enhance public awareness among Arab audiences. He also highlighted the importance of sharing positive stories during difficult times to help societies overcome the crisis, and praised the network\u2019s efforts in the UAE.
\nDr. Ibrahim Abou Zekry, President of the General Union of Arab Producers, explained that the campaign includes a unified platform across social media to share awareness and educational messages with the target audience, while also monitoring feedback, collecting surveys, and providing insights to support decision-making that benefits Arab societies. He also noted that the General Union of Arab Producers launched the first joint broadcasting initiative in 2005, followed by many initiatives supporting joint Arab work.
